Categories and naming
How Vadivam names its icons, how a name becomes a component in each package, and every category with its icon count, for finding the right icon fast.
Every Vadivam icon has one name, a set of tags, and one or more categories. The names and metadata come from the pinned Lucide release, so a name that works in Lucide works in Vadivam.
Names
An icon’s name is lowercase kebab-case, such as arrow-right or circle-alert. Each package derives its own form from that name:

Each name is a current canonical Lucide name. Older Lucide names, such as alert-circle for circle-alert or home for house, are not separate icons. The Lucide codemod and the Figma plugin map them to the current name.
Tags
Tags are search synonyms. activity is also found by “pulse”, “heart rate monitor”, and more. The icon catalog, the Figma plugin, and the MCP server all search tags, and vadivam/manifest exports them for your own search:

Each icon belongs to one or more categories. Pick a category to browse it in the catalog. vadivam/manifest exports the same list as categories, and each icon’s ids as icon.categories.
